Our Story

Built on Family. Backed by Experience.

TCK Solutions is built on a family tradition of craftsmanship that spans generations.

Our story begins with our grandfather, who spent his entire career as a professional painter. Our father began working alongside him in his late teens and went on to become a lifelong professional painter in the Washington, D.C. area.

Our uncle was a home builder, and during the 1970s and 1980s, our father also worked with him building and renovating homes throughout McLean and Fairfax. From an early age, our family was surrounded by the trades, learning the importance of quality workmanship, attention to detail, and doing a job the right way.

A Family Tradition Continues

After graduating from high school in 1988, Chris joined his father in the family business. For the next 21 years, he learned the trade firsthand, working on homes throughout Northern Virginia while helping operate the business.

In June 2009, as the local housing market changed, Chris left the family business and began a 17 year career with the University of Maryland. During that time, he gained extensive experience in facilities management, operations, customer service, project coordination, and maintaining large and complex facilities.

Meanwhile, his brother Ted continued working alongside their father.

In 2015, Chris and Ted began working together again, starting a small handyman service on weekends. What started as a few weekend projects gradually grew into a partnership built on trust, experience, and a shared commitment to quality work.

TCK Solutions

In 2026, Chris returned to working with Ted full time, and TCK Solutions was officially formed.

While the company may be new, the experience behind it is not.

Our roots go back generations. Chris and Ted have been working together for more than 11 years, and between them, they bring decades of hands on experience in painting, repairs, maintenance, construction, and home improvement.

Today, TCK Solutions combines that family tradition with the experience gained over decades of working in homes, businesses, and professional facilities throughout Northern Virginia and the Washington, D.C. area.

We are proud to be a small, family owned company focused on doing things the right way.

That means showing up when we say we will, communicating with our customers, respecting their homes, paying attention to the details, and taking pride in every project we complete.

Family Values. Professional Results.

We believe there is something special about a small business where the people doing the work have a personal stake in the result.

When you choose TCK Solutions, you are not just hiring a contractor. You are working with a family business that has spent generations learning the value of craftsmanship, reliability, and treating people right.
